What is provenance?

The provenance or history of a wine is crucial when buying wine, especially fine or rare wines from great and historic vintages. Authenticity, origin, storage, and transport are key aspects of ensuring a wine is in optimum condition.

The finest wines are those that are stored correctly

Storing a wine at the correct temperature is paramount for its gradual maturity. A wine’s maturity has a great impact on both its quality and value in the market place. Poor storage can make even the finest wines undesirable.

Ensured provenance

We have over 30 years of experience in wine investments. We take every precaution necessary to ensure the provenance of fine and historic vintages. At Venulum, we only obtain stock from vintners and recognized merchants with many years standing. We acquire a wine only if we are 100% sure of its provenance.
